GERI REISCHL

Child actress, began her career at age 6 playing the role of "Gretl" at the Melodyland Theatre in Anaheim, California. It was here she came to the attention of a Hollywood Talent Agent and was immediately cast in a long series of commercials, including an extended contract with Mattel toys. This led to featured acting roles in the films The Brotherhood of Satan (1971) and I Dismember Mama(1972). She guest-starred in several network television series such as Gunsmoke, The Interns, Apples Way and The Bold Ones just to name a few. Geri had lead roles in several stage productions growing up. Among Geri's other talents is singing and in 1973 she formed a country rock band called "The Sand Dabs." She performed at Magic Mountain, Knotts Berry Farm, and the famous Palomino Club of North Hollywood and on the 70's family drama television series "Apples Way"during the early to mid 1970s. She was part of and featured along with Sammy Davis Jr. in his Lake Tahoe night club act, toured the USA and Canada with Canadian singing sensation René Simard, and performed at the Grand Ol' Opry performing a long side country music legend Marty Robbins.

Geri Reischl is most famous for replacing Eve Plumb as "Jan Brady" on the ABC television network series "The Brady Bunch Variety Hour" which aired during the 1976-1977 television season. Her tenure as "Fake Jan" has been spoofed on numerous television shows, including "The Simpsons" (1989), "Tiny Toon Adventures” (1990) and on segments from TV Land and Nick-at-Nite. Geri was also under contract to do several commercials for "Crispy Wheat's n Raisin's Cereal" where she played "Dorothy" in the Wizard of Oz themed commercials. Geri is lovingly referred to by her fans as 'Fake Jan.' Her 'Brady Sister' Susan Olsen (Cindy Brady) and friend Lisa Sutton declared January 2nd (JAN 2) as "Fake Jan Day." This holiday is celebrated by fans all over the world as far a way as Australia and has given her status as a Pop Culture Icon . After taking several years off to raise a family she returned in the fall of 2011 to record a full length CD titled "1200 RIVERSIDE" In Nov. 2011 Geri performed a two hour 'one woman show' in NYC called "Fake Jan: Sings for Real."

Geri was just cast in a new bone chilling horror/thriller “The Meat Puppet” that starts filming this summer (2012) in New Jersey. It's a sadistic thrill fest, full of twists and turns, that is sure to give movie goers the fright of their lives. Geri is currently putting together music for her 2nd (untitled) album.
